Pregnancy and medication

Avoid unnecessary medications during pregnancy until and unless suggested by a physician. 

*Antibiotics that need to be avoided during pregnancy:

-Tetracyclines

-Flouroquinoles

-Aminoglycosides

-Metronidazoles

-Nitrofurantoin

Never take self medications during pregnancy. 

NSAIDs, blood thinners, Ace inhibitors are to be avoided in pregnancy. 

Antibiotics should always be taken after consulting a physician. 

A short course of antibiotics is always preferred by a physician, follow his instructions.
